Version 1.1 bugs

- Sometimes it pastes English words typed with non-Latin characters. - Shortcuts frequently stop working and can only be fixed by restarting the app or updating the shortcut. - The app crashes often. - Transcriptions often don’t paste, or they paste the latest clipboard item instead of the transcription. - The first transcription, or sometimes more, doesn’t work. I should give it more time after a cold start, but it still takes longer than expected.

Hey Pavlo, please try out the newest update 1.1.3 if it hasn't downloaded automatically yet. It should fix most of the issues.

Unfortunately, it hasn’t resolved the frequent background crashes and issues with non-Latin symbol usage. On the other hand, shortcut issues have been fixed, even though I’d prefer more flexibility by handling the right-side modifier keys as separate keys.

Left/Right separation is coming back in a more robust update soon. Could you let me know which macOS version and what hardware you are on? And did you notice any pattern or situation in which it crashes more frequently? e.g. coming out of sleep mode, etc. I have a small percentage of people that have constant crashes and trying to find a common denominator, since I can't reproduce it. Non-latin symbol usage is a known issue with some accents. I am also not a native speaker and sometimes notice that it'll do that, although rare. It seems to be more/less sensitive to different accents since the model itself is multilingual and tries to infer language. I am looking into this though!

I'm on macOS 26.0.1 with a MacBook Pro M2 and 8 GB of RAM. I know this isn’t very helpful, but I can’t identify any pattern in the crashes. Sometimes the app doesn’t launch after waking from sleep. Other times, I launch it, give it time to load the model, and then forget about it for a while. When I realize it, the app isn’t launched again. Damn, I knew that this was my horrible accent :) It’s interesting how it understands the words correctly but strangely spells them.

Today, the app repeatedly crashed a few minutes after launch. I opened the history, and the last item showed a record that could be transcribed. I clicked the dismiss button, and since then the app has worked for several hours. Hope that helps.
