Recording UI no longer shows when in a full screen app

I think this happened after the 1.1.3 update, I'm only seeing the recording UI when I'm not in a full screen app. This has led to me sometimes accidentally activating it and not noticing until I switch spaces.

Thanks for the report! Replacing the recording UI with something else that lives on screen. Putting things above the menu bar unfortunately makes macOS constantly fight it. Will release soon.
